Learn how to make a quick no sew pincushion! Need a pincushion in a pinch? Try this easy no sew version. Out of all of the craft, crochet and sewing supplies I have on hand, I realized one day that I didn’t have a pincushion. I was just using the plastic box that my stick pins came in. I was going to make a sock monkey and decided that having a pincushion would make the process a little easier. I didn’t want to take the time to go out to buy one. I decided that I would make it without having to sew it by hand or run it through the sewing machine.Quick No Sew Pincushion
Things you will need:
coffee mug or tea cup
scissors
scrap piece of fabric
small hand full of poly-fil
rubber band
Instructions
Lay the fabric right side down.
Place the cup on top of the fabric. You can take a pencil and freehand a circle about 2 inches bigger than the opening of the cup. Cut the circle out. Put the fabric circle face down in the palm of your hand. Put the poly-fil in the center of the circle gather the ends together and twist.
Add the rubber band to the twist tightly.
You can hot glue the fabric ball to the cup now, if you want. I didn’t use the glue because I was using a piece of my good china.
